Springfield’s Best Holiday Light Displays - Italian Restaurant Springfield MO

There’s something special about the holiday season in the Ozarks. From decorated shop windows to festive holiday events, our welcoming community is nothing short of magical during this time of year. Santa Clause is coming to town next week, which is why we’ve mapped out the ultimate Springfield holiday light viewing roadmap.

Stop 1: Finley River Park

We’ll start our holiday lights tour just south of Springfield in Ozark. For months, members of this charming community have been hard at work on the dazzling Christmas light display at Finley River Park. The park is free and open to car traffic, although donations are accepted to support the tradition.Display runs through December 30; 5–10 p.m. Sunday–Thursday; 5–11 p.m. Friday–Saturday.Image title

Stop 2: Jaxon’s Lights

14-year-old Jaxon Baker has built one of the most impressive holiday displays in the Springfield area. Since 2014, Baker has grown his collection to include about 50 inflatables and nearly 50,000 lights. Drivers are encouraged to tune into at 97.1 FM to enjoy synced holiday tunes. Donations are also accepted to help Baker grow his passion project.Display runs 5–10 p.m. Sunday–Thursday; 5-11 p.m. Friday–Saturday

You can’t celebrate the holidays in the Ozarks without stopping byBagwell Lights. The now-iconic holiday display covers several yards in Springfield's Brentwood neighborhood, dazzling drivers with twinkling lights, jolly inflatables and much more. To make the most of your experience, be sure to set your radio to 105.5 FM for a jaunty holiday soundtrack. Quick note: Long lines tend to form around the display, but this is one Springfield tradition worth waiting for. To help the flow of traffic, we recommend entering the line near Field Elementary.Week of Christmas: Display runs 4:45 p.m.–11:30 p.m.December 23–26: Display runs 4:45 p.m.–midnight.

There’s no place like Bass Pro during the holidays. The outdoor outfitter is a great spot to stop in for a photo with Santa. Even if you don’t have time to stroll through the outdoorsy accouterments, make sure to drive past the store’s campus on Campbell to marvel at the thousands of lights.Display illuminates at dusk and runs until after Christmas.Image title

Stop 5: Park Central Square

Downtown stakeholders at the Community Improvement District have been building Park Central Square’s display for years. This year, the display has expanded to illuminate the Square’s “spokes.” To make the most of this display, hop out of your car and go for a stroll with a cup of coffee from a downtown coffee shop. While you’re there, make sure to pose for a photo with the massive Christmas tree located in the heart of the Square.Display illuminates at dusk and runs until after Christmas.
